The Cub Scout Summer Adventure Camp is a four-day, three-night summer camp experience located at the Heart of Virginia Council Cub Adventure Camp in Goochland, VA. While families can attend any session of their choice, the Pack will participate in the fourth session July 12 – July 15, 2024.
The camp provides lodging for all campers, and meals are served in its air-conditioned dining hall. Camp activities include fishing, BB guns, archery, swimming in the camp’s pool, splashing in the spray ground, and so much more.
Summer Camp Cost
The cost of attending summer Adventure Camp is as follows:
- Youth (Scouts & Siblings): $185/person
- Adults (Leaders & Parents): $120/person
This cost covers all program activities, accommodations, and meals served in the dining hall.
An Early Bird rate of $15 off will be applied to all Scouts/siblings (youth) who have 50% of their camp fees paid by May 15, 2024.
All registrations must be paid in full by June 3, 2024.

Summer Camp Sessions
This year, the council is offering four summer camp sessions for Cub Scouts. While families can attend any session of their choice, the Pack will attend Session 4, which runs from July 12 to July 15.

The full session schedule is as follows:
- Session 1: June 23–June 26
- Session 2: June 26–June 29th
- Session 3: July 5–July 8
- Session 4: July 12–July 15 (Pack Recommendation)
Lodging Options
When registering, you’ll have an opportunity to choose your preferred accommodations for camp. From our experience, we recommend the following:
- Baloo and Mowgli Tent Villages (Wall tents): Large green canvas tent on a tent frame that is mounted to a wooden platform. Each tent has two canvas cots. (Each tent sleeps 2)
- Yurts: Sleeps 16 on bunk beds; adults are provided with wall tents.
- Mountain Cabins: Each cabin has a large bay-sleeping area for 16 Scouts in bunk beds, with 2 private rooms, which sleep 4 each (one private room for male leaders/parents and the other private room for female leaders/parents). Mountain Cabins can sleep 24 individuals in total.
- Western Fort: Each room sleeps 6 max. on bunk beds, 10 rooms available.
