The Tiger program is for first grade boys (or age 7) and their adult partners.
This is a very basic and general description of what the boys will be doing while earning the Tiger rank. The den leaders and the scout book for this rank will have all the detailed information on what your child will be doing.
There are five achievement areas. The Tiger Cub and his adult partner will complete 15 requirements within these areas to earn the Tiger Cub badge.
When a boy begins his path to the Tiger Cub Rank, he must earn the Tiger Cub Totem:
To earn his totem he must learn the following:
The Tiger Cub Motto: Search, discover, Share
The Cub Scout Sign
The Cub Scout Salute
Once the Tiger earns the totem, he will be awarded beads to hang from the totem. The beads are awarded for activities in the following areas.
Making My Family Special
Where I Live
Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe
How I tell It
Let's Go Outdoors
Remember there are no performance requirements for the boys. Simply participating and doing their best in an activity constitutes completion..
